Ruth's Vegetable Casserole with Mushroom Sauce

Preheat oven to 350degrees. Prepare each of the frozen vegetables according to package directions. Drain thoroughly. Combine water chestnuts, mushrooms, onion and cheese. Alternate layers of vegetables with layers of cheese mixture in a 3 quart casserole dish. Top with mushroom soup and heat thoroughly for about 30 minutes.

NOTE: May substitute 1 10 oz. pkg. brussel spouts and/or one 16 oz. can green beans. Can use cream of celery soup in lieu of cream of mushroom.
