Back in the Dark Ages (before recipe chatrooms!), we had recipe chain letters - this is a family favorite from a 1965 chain letter.

1	sm. pkg.	Lime jello
1-1/4	cup	Hot water
1	cup	Mayonnaise
1	cup	Small curd cottage cheese
3/4	cup	Grated cucumber w/rind
2	Tbsp.	Grated onion
1/3	cup	Slivered almonds

• Dissolve jello in hot water. Mix in mayonnaise and cottage cheese until well blended. Add cucumber, onion, and almonds. Pour into a mold and chill until set.
