Watch crust. May need to be covered with foil last half hour, and oven turned down lower.

3		Eggs, slightly beaten
1	C	Karo light or dark corn syrup
1	C	Sugar
2	tbsp	Margarine, or butter, melted
1	tsp	Vanilla
1	C	Pecan halves
1		Unbaked (9") pastry shell

• In large bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecan halves. Pour into pastry shell. Bake in 325° oven 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool.

  Serves 8.

  Alternative: Chocolate Deluxe Pecan Pie: Add 4 squares (1 oz. each) semi-sweet or unsweetened chocolate, melted, to corn syrup mixture.
