Comments: This is great served with chili or a nice homemade soup. Great for winter time.

Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda; place in an 18 ounce beer bottle or other jar. Place remaining ingredients on top of flour mixture, layering if bottle is clear. Makes 1 bottle.

Attach this to the Jar:
Beer Bread
Makes 1 loaf (16 servings)

Place jar contents in a medium mixing bowl. Stir in one 12 ounce can or bottle of beer just til combined. Pour into a greased 8x4x2 inch loaf pan. Bake in a 375 oven for 35 to 40 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cover with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking if necessary to prevent over-browning. Remove from oven and brush with butter, if desired. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove from pan. Serve warm or cool completely on a wire rack.
