Apples and Sausage

From the Kitchen of: Brick

We find that this and a baked potato makes a pretty good meal. The quantities are approximate. The apples cook down a lot, so don't skimp on them.

Peel, core and slice apples in 1/4 inch slices. Put in pan of water with a little lemon juice to prevent turning brown. In a large skillet, brown the sausage on all sides until done. In a large pan, (I use a roasting pan) layer the apples and sausage, scattering the sausages. After each layer sprinkle some brown sugar and drizzle a little of the drippings from the sausage. Repeat the layers until all of the apples, sausage are used. Cover and bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
