Egg Sausage Cheese Bake

From the Kitchen of:  Heidi - Founder: Gourmet at Home Club
Source:  Passed onto me verbally at a church breakfast.

I could never find a recipe that was simple to make when we had company during the holidays and found this one was good enough for a champagne breakfast.

NOTE: This dish is very easy to make, especially as all the preparation is done the night before. The taste can be "dressed up" or down and it is not only good for breakfasts, but is equally good for light luncheons and suppers.

  1. Butter a 9"x13" pan.
  2. In a medium bowl mix eggs, half & half, dry mustard, salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble by placing the cubes of white bread as a first layer, add sausage as 2nd layer and cheese as 3rd layer. Finally, pour egg mixture over and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25+/-minutes until brown and puffed, or until the middle of the egg mixture is fully cooked.
