Mix flour, sugar and spices until thoroughly blended. Add slightly beaten egg yolks to applesauce, (if applesauce is homemade and chunky, mash applesauce) and add to dry ingredients.
Add melted butter or margarine, and fold in stiffly beaten eggs whites.
