Marbled Nut Pound Cake

  • Heat oven to 325 F or 300 for glass pan. Generously grease and flour loaf pan, 9x5x3" or 2 loaf pans, 8 1/4x4 1/2x2 1/2".
  • Prepare pound cake as directed on package except for adding nuts.
  • Pour 2 cups of batter into a bowl; stir in cocoa.
  • Spoon light and dark batters alternately into pan(s). Swirl through batter once or twice with a knife.
  • Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 9" loaf - 55-60 minutes, 8" loaves 45-50 minutes.
  • Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan(s); cool completely before slicing.
