Cast-Iron Skillet Corn Bread

Preheat the oven to 425D. Grease the bottom and side of a cast iron skillet. Put it in the oven while you're preparing the batter. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Add the cornmeal and blend the ingredients with a spoon. Add the eggs, drippings, milk, and sugar. Lightly stir all ingredients. Remove skillet from oven then pour in the batter. Bake for another 20 minutes, or until a tooth pick poked in the center comes out clean.
